After playing with height and driving around for a few days, I have had to make a few changes. And I think I could have gone with even stiffer spring rates and still be comfortable. 10.7/8 isn’t quite as stiff as I thought it would be, even though it’s roughly twice what I had before. The car has a loose fingergap right now, and I ended up turning the firming up all the way on the Yellows, and I still rub a little on dips and when going in my driveway. Even so, normal driving is fine, and I am very shocked at how well this setup soaks up bumps in the road…I mean at full firmness you feel more of the road, but it’s not jarring or uncomfortable. I think if I would have gone with slightly stiffer rates I could have lowered more and I’d be able to soften up the Yellows a bit.

But hopefully once I roll the fenders, my problem will be solved. And I just have to pull into my driveway a little differently.

caint wait to see pics
i know cjsaccord has been looking into this option because he already has the konis
but he keeps complaining his suspension is too soft im not sure why
help me convince him this is one of the best suspension set ups around
also get them wheels on man

Hmm has he dialed up the firmness on his Yellows at all? For someone like me who doesn’t want to slam the car, and between and with a shock/coilover sleeve combo that gives full dampening/height adjustability…I think it’s perfect. I would just advise for anyone who wants to have zero finger gap…go with stiffer rates.

And yea like Steven said, check my MR page. :)

Thanks, his paint is so awesome. Mine doesn’t have depth but in the sun SMR really gleams. A sunny shoot with our coupes would be wicked I think.

Sell me your Swift springs. :lawl:

You want stiffer rates now huh? Lol

I can probably part out the springs and sell it with the default rates.

hello,
Im a newbie ...can you please explain exactly what you have and what you are talking about when you say "Koni Yellows & Eibach Sportlines"? I am starting to modify my 01V6EX and suspension is first on my list. I want to be lower, but I dont want to change the smoothness of the ride very much. thanks

I ordered from the same ebay seller as you Chris. The box says 4515.01 which is making me think they shipped the wrong sleeves. Any way for me to be sure before sending it back?

^Yeah for Koni's you need .02. Did you tell them you needed the .02 kit when you ordered?

I wouldn't open it if you haven't yet. If you have, you can take some photos and I'll tell you what the difference is.

Yeah I told them. I can return for a refund or they will exchange for the proper kit. I'm waiting to see if they can ship the exchange kit to Canada or else I'll send it back for a refund

Yeah just confirm with them before you order that you need the 4515.02 kit for Koni Yellows, and confirm the spring rates. I did that like 5 times haha.

That's cool they paid for the shipping back., I think they're a good seller.
