    Cylinder Heads

Well, bad news, belt broke and must have been at idle, because she runs, just a little rocky at idle, but not bad. Anyways, I am sure the valves must be slightly bent. Cylinder head (rebuilt) already are cheap for this vehicle, about $250 with no core required. My question is this, does...

Why are my brake lights staying on when I turn off my accord

I want to bump this thread, instead of starting another... I have the plastic pieces on the floor from the brake light switch, so I know its gonzo. I am going to call honda tomorrow, its around $30 online, part number 36750-SEA-003. My real question, does anyone have a temporary solution...

    Hesitant/Misfire/Running like crap

I didnt move the plunger of the EGR valve, I just took carb cleaner and a lil brush and cleaned out the EGR. The part that gets clogged is the little crevice in the upper plenum leading to the port down the runners to the EGR. What I did was taped off the EGR side, and sprayed carb cleaner in...

    Hesitant/Misfire/Running like crap

Well just wanted to say, this is the smoothest the car has ever run. Cleaning the upper plenum, IACV, and EGR/Port was the best thing this car needed. Idle sits right at 750ish, never drops below and recovers. I'm expecting some decent gas mileage on this tank. Should have taken pictures...

    Hesitant/Misfire/Running like crap

So I threw some codes last week. I was throwing the 2 codes for O2 Sensor #1, which is the A/F sensor. And also threw the EGR code. The CEL also flashes occasionally meaning its a misfire, I'm assuming caused by those two codes. I cant get to work on it till Fri Night/Sat Morning. I...

    Stealing from junkyards

I think Junkyards are in it for the big dollar parts as it is. They could careless if you pocket a few small sensors, gas cap, nuts/bolts, and what not. They pay 100-150 for a car, and make it back the first 3 body parts they sell, plus the price of brakes, knuckles, wheels, seats, etc. The...

Got the A/C Compressor, Expansion Valve, and Drier installed over the weekend. Fingers crossed today when I go to get it vacuumed and charged. Went through 2qts of chemicals and an air compressor cleaning out the evap core, and condenser, and every line. I took every line out, and even had to...

    Air Conditioning A/C Questions

Yeah, I talked to a friend of mine works for Mazda/Ford, big Honda guy though, he said they also make it like in a spray paint can, and has a tube on it that has the chemicals in it as well. I'm looking to borrow an air compressor for this weekend. -Evacuate -Remove -Clean Evap, Condenser...

    Air Conditioning A/C Questions

I appreciate the help, but I dont have access to those type of tools and chemicals. So, I guess my next question...when they evacuate/recover the system, should they also clean it out then? Then I install all my parts, and bring it back to them for oil and refrigerant. Or is the system cleaned...

    Air Conditioning A/C Questions

Alright, so I did my compressor last year, with a new drier, and never had it properly vacuumed and cycled through on the refill, and it eventually blew a couple months down the line. I have a few questions I'd like to ask some of you A/C tech guys on here. Items I have purchased just...
