    Front speakers only?

I've read a few posts here from people who have opted to go with front speakers & a sub only (no rear deck). The reason most often given is because it sets the sound stage up front and not in the back. Well, I put in a set of Boston SX60 components up front and have two 12" JL subs in the...

    Boston SX60s in front door

Thanks Niskyspy, but as I mentioned in my original post, I do not have the tools for cutting MDF to make an adapter. If I hadn't managed to jimmy the speakers into the speaker baskets, I would have definitely purchased the pre-fab adapters that Badger posted from eBay. They were only a few...

    Boston SX60s in front door

Thanks Badger. I wish I had known about these earlier. Even though I've already managed to rig up my factory speaker baskets to accommodate the speakers, it's certainly useful to know about these for next time.

    Boston SX60s in front door

Hey guys, I'm trying to install a set of Boston SX60s in the front doors of my 01 Accord. I've removed the old factory speaker and basket, but I cannot figure a way to mount these things using the variety of rings and spacers that were provided with the new speakers. After searching here...

    Rewiring Front Door Speakers

    Amp power cable through firewall.

They used the existing grommet. I would imagine they had to take the fusebox out to get it in there since space is so tight, but ya never know what kinda mad skills and tools those shops have.

Ok, I just had a local shop run the wire for me. They ran it just under the fusebox on the passenger side.

Interior overhead cabin light won't turn off

I messed with the door switches, but that didn't have any effect. When I open each door, the door light comes on and it goes off when I press in the switch; however, the ceiling light remains on. Are there any other switches that would affect the ceiling light?

Which grommet are you referring to? And what gauge wire did you run?

Interior overhead cabin light won't turn off

Hey everyone, `01 4cyl sedan accord owner here. Last weekend I took my glovebox out to change air filters and also pulled up the plastic trim along both sides in anticipation of running amp wiring. Turned out I had cold feet regarding the drilling of the hole for the 0 gauge power wire...

Anyone ever find a way to run 0 gauge thru an existing grommet on 6th gen accord 4cyl? I have tools but am afraid to drill.
