LOL....I live in Houston. It's going to be blowing hot air to start with for at least the next 3 months.
It is a good idea and I'll try it. The fan speed adjustment does work. I will also try to change the circulation modes. (vents vs footwell vs defrost)

I need guesses as to what is wrong. Once in a while (1 in 50 tries) the AC will not blow cold. Fans move air fine, but not cold air. In conjunction with the lack of cold air is the fact that none of the lights on the AC contol unit light up.
It is a standard AC unit - not climate control...
