Ticking sound was due to excessive piston to valve clearance. Project was success in a way that I learned a lot about engine building and different ways to achieve a target. Currently I have a h23a running in my car. So this year, I will redo the g23, lower compression and probably go with turbo.

Placing the f23a gasket on the cylinder head. Rear holes line up perfect but the front get's cut off earlier but its fine. H22a gasket will leave a small portion unblocked as was posted earlier in the thread.
Ordered two pins from ebay for blocking the oil passages on the front of the engine. No need to install plug or mess with the cylinder head.
Installed with lot of lube and patience.

The other day saw the temp gauge climbing while sitting in traffic. Pulled over confirmed fans were running. Temperature came down but as soon as pressed on throttle it started heating up again. Also I can hear pinging sound only under load.

Decided to fix the clutch pedal flex issue. Removed the dash, bent a metal strip 90°, drilled a slot for adjustment and finally used a hose clamp to secure it to the metal tube.
JDM PCD ecm does not monitor catalytic converter efficiency i.e. it does not monitor second oxygen sensor at the end of the catalytic converter. This ecm is NOT california emission legal.

Thanks. Yes will have to be careful in the rain. You cannot install bypass valve on aem V2 intake. That's the only downfall.
