    Ticking sound was due to excessive piston to valve clearance. Project was success in a way that I learned a lot about engine building and different ways to achieve a target. Currently I have a h23a running in my car. So this year, I will redo the g23, lower compression and probably go with turbo.

    So I finally saved some money to buy a hondata ecu(black ecu from kstuned). The ticking sound in the cylinder head valve train is still there.

    Compression test results(before valve adjustment): 1,2,3,4 = 225psi, 235 psi, 255psi, 255 psi

    Torqued the head bolts to 80 ft lbs. Installed the timing belt.

    Placing the f23a gasket on the cylinder head. Rear holes line up perfect but the front get's cut off earlier but its fine. H22a gasket will leave a small portion unblocked as was posted earlier in the thread.

    Ordered two pins from ebay for blocking the oil passages on the front of the engine. No need to install plug or mess with the cylinder head. Installed with lot of lube and patience.

    Installed f23a head gasket. Better than h22a head gasket at covering oil holes in the block and fits the cylinder chamber perfectly.

    Re: Projekt G23[Hold] | [Current] Euro r H22A The other day saw the temp gauge climbing while sitting in traffic. Pulled over confirmed fans were running. Temperature came down but as soon as pressed on throttle it started heating up again. Also I can hear pinging sound only under load.

    Re: Projekt G23[Hold] | [Current] Euro r H22A Decided to fix the clutch pedal flex issue. Removed the dash, bent a metal strip 90°, drilled a slot for adjustment and finally used a hose clamp to secure it to the metal tube.

    JDM PCD ecm does not monitor catalytic converter efficiency i.e. it does not monitor second oxygen sensor at the end of the catalytic converter. This ecm is NOT california emission legal.

    Re: Projekt G23[Hold] | [Current] Euro r H22A Thanks. Yes will have to be careful in the rain. You cannot install bypass valve on aem V2 intake. That's the only downfall.
