Roll Call: Eastern Canada - ON; QB; NS; NB/NFLD/PEI

Is anybody still here? I'm from Essa Township, Ontario. 5 minutes outside Barrie, Ontario about an hour north of Toronto up the 400. Ruined white 2002 coupe, and a nicer black 2000 coupe. Both V6. Daily highway 400 warrior. I also have 2 V6 parts cars on the go if anyone needs anything :).

    Newbie here

IIRC there was a class action lawsuit regarding the automatic transmissions in the US on the 6th generation Honda Accords. No help for Canadians, but didn't Honda have to reimburse thousands of people in the mid 2000s because of transmission failures when the lawsuit went through?

Good luck? V6 or I4? Automatic or manual? The automatics had troubles, just fyi. But you probably knew that if you have been reading around in here. Other than that, super reliable cars.

Re: New parts car! I like your beer-centred thought process lol. This one is gray leather, heated seats, sunroof, pretty well loaded. It's rustier than it looks, the green hides it much better than the white does on Connie. It's going in behind the rear doors but could be saved if I wanted to...

    Enne's 1999 Accord LX sedan 2.3 L - Selene

If I was in my RX7 or my Merkur, I would have. My Accord isn't worth the hassle and the paperwork. Check out my members' ride thread if you don't believe me lol. Still pissed me off though, my disappointment in humanity grew that day.

Those do look amazing. I'll keep my eye open for some at the scrapyard.

    Lucky's official thread with mods

19in or 20in vossen forged rims -That's huge, they'll be heavy and probably affect performance/handling. I think big wheels look kind of silly but your car so if you like the look I say do it! 4 spacers to 5 spacers conversion -I think you mean 5-lug conversion. Good idea because it opens...

    mysterious front end noise

+1 outer CV. I paid about $100 a side for new axles last year; its not that big of a job to replace them.

    What's in the trunk

I'd give you one of the 3 extra spare 5-lug spares I have, but you're a little far lol. You should just go full size though. Steel rims are cheap and those factory donuts are sketchy.

    Must get warranty?

Yeah the majority definitely had problems. My first transmission went at 344k km, but it was "not quite right" since about 250k. Laggy shifts, having to let off the gas to get it do go into second at times, etc. At 344k it finally started slipping and wouldn't go uphill anymore. The second...

    Enne's 1999 Accord LX sedan 2.3 L - Selene

Nice work! But it looks like you need to have a look at your rear brakes ASAP, those rotors look ruined! Parking on the street does suck, I did it for years before I was finally able to buy my house. The lack of respect people have for another person's property sucks. I've been in the car...

    Rusty Accord's 99 Sedan LX F23A4 w/5speed (56K)

Yeah, I am starting to think I should probably get rid of one of the toys at least, but I'm not really in a hurry to let go of them at the same time. It should take maybe 2 hours to drop the subframe. Yours will be easier than mine because yours is a 4 cylinder, so you only have 4 subframe...

The blades from the 00 and 01 coupes you mean? 16"? I like them too. Have 2 sets of them at the moment :waytogo: Thanks for the kind comments. The Accords are my "warriors", taking me from Barrie to Brampton and back every day. I don't care how they look, just how they ride. People ask me all...

    Connie, 2002 EX-V6 Coupe (56K)

Ok cool. I'll hopefully get to it this weekend, depending on how the gas tank goes. Maybe I'll even have time to start a thread for the black car. I wish the v6 cars came with a manual. That's my only gripe with the 6th gens. Hopefully someday I get a 3d pedal into one of these cars...

New parts car! So I picked up another 6G last night as a parts car. My first 4-door! It's a 1998 V6, bought it for the rebuilt transmission that's in it. Paid $400, I'm sure I'll make my money back in parts and in not having to buy new parts when I break stuff lol.

Blazinqwickly's F23A1 ,Happy wife, Happy Life Build.

Wow that's clean. Especially for a '99. What I would give to live in a place without rust...... Good luck to you both! I'm sure your car will be beautiful when you finish!

    What's in the trunk

I keep a full size spare, washer fluid, a litre of oil, a bottle of brake fluid, a jug of coolant, a gallon of gas, a real jack with real jack stands, a socket set and a bundle of zip ties. So far I've always had what I need when something breaks or falls off.

    Rusty Accord's 99 Sedan LX F23A4 w/5speed (56K)

Thanks for the help with the power steering line. I'll let you know how it goes when I get to it. It just snowed at my house AGAIN, had to brush the car off and drive through a salt brine mess again this morning. I hope its the last time! I don't take anything I want to keep nice out in...

    Connie, 2002 EX-V6 Coupe (56K)

Thanks for the advice. I was worried about access to that fitting like you said. Mine is rusted out almost exactly where you said, but I'm not sure if it's the return line or the pressure line yet. I can barely see anything from the top or the bottom. I'm probably way better off ordering new...

    Rusty Accord's 99 Sedan LX F23A4 w/5speed (56K)

You Americans and your Rock Auto....jealous! Which power steering line is the return line? My black coupe is leaking power steering fluid from on top of the rack, so it's going to need to be replaced. How difficult was it to get in there? I'm about an hour North of Toronto, it seems like...

    Connie, 2002 EX-V6 Coupe (56K)

The LF fender does not have me worried. I'm going to just let it get as bad as it wants to. It's going to feel exactly the same from my seat whether or not I fix it, so why bother? It's not structural, hahahaha. Like an hour work for literally no gain lol. In Ontario, once you have a car...

    99' j32 swap to 99' accord coupe

Thanks again for trying to answer my question. I assume another issue that is going to come up will be that of having my Accord cluster work with the TL/CL harness and ECU. I will have to do some more research to find out exactly what, but I'm sure it's not plug and play. By "do all cars have...
