    I read a thread awhile back about it on another forum, HT I believe. There were a few tell-tale signs, the retarded cutoff/output and the rubber dust-shield being two of them. There were others, but I don't recall what they were. For the most part, the authentic TYC's had decent performance.

    TYC's headlight was knocked-off in March 2008 and the fakes were selling on eBay for awhile as authentic TYC with logos and everything. You sir, got a pair of the fakes.
