    Photoshop'd a pic

Oops, didn't know about the sub forum. I think there's a major difference between the 2 pictures. I'd like to try to do another car so I figured I might as try to help someone out.

    Photoshop'd a pic

I photoshop'd a picture of my car (took about 20min). I think it looks a lot more crisp. The bottom of the facia looks a little jacked, but didn't really care since I'm using it for my avatar. If ne one wants, I could do something like this to a picture of your car. If you like it, cool. If not...

    Vacuum hose routing confirmation?

(00 ex sedan F23a1) Could ne1 confirm that I have these vac lines routed correctly? The hose to the fuel pump reg. isn't hooked up cause I didn't order enough length. What I'm confused about is that on the cruise control, there is an open line (pic 3) but I had it labeled. The last thing I wanna...

    clear coat of headlights peeling

When your using a buffer, try not to apply to much pressure. Let the pad and the polish do the work.

    clear coat of headlights peeling

What grit sand paper did you wet sand it with? Say if you originally sanded with 800 grit, go up to maybe a 1000, then 1500 etc. Until it's as fine of a grit as you can get. The surface isn't probably ready for the polish. Don't throw in the towel yet, it's completely re-conditionable

    clear coat of headlights peeling

The point of using a buffer is that, since you've wet sanded, you've gone beyond the typical wear of daily driving wear. How even the sanding is? I don't know. A buffer would make clock work of rubbing by hand, and make it more even. I don't know the rate of rpm's on a buffer, but I bet you...

Motor mounts ,could I have messed something up

^ I don't know if it's safe or not. If anything, it couldn't hurt ne thing. I didn't cut out the pre-existing rubber, just filled the gaps . I've read some good things on the net, so I figured I'd give it a try. I read on one diy that just doing the front and rear mounts completly got rid of...

Motor mounts ,could I have messed something up

I just put the side and front motor mounts in (filled them). I just thought of something though. When I did the work, the car was on jacks. I barely moved the engine around. Should I have disconnected the drive shaft before I took the mounts out? The cars not ready to be driven yet, so I don't...

    Silicone hose kit?

I got the sizes from here- http://racepartsolutions.com/ they sell the hoses by the foot. I went with red. I don't know why, but red parts in the bay makes my car feel faster,  2x on engine parts being different colors. I mostly change the colors so I can identify parts better, if I...

    clear coat of headlights peeling

Did you spray clear coat on them originally??? I need to know. And if so, how many layers did you spray? If you clear coated them, you need to get the cc off. Clear coating your head light lenses is a waste of time. Buff with meguires plastic X after you get the cc off. If you put clear coat on...

    Silicone hose kit?

I cut the hoses in the middle (where it's not stretched) and measured with calipers. I'm not going to say which company is off on their measurements (at least for oem replacement), but there is an obvious difference between 3.5mm and .125''.

What color should I paint my brake calipers?

I'd go w/ black while they're stock. I painted my calipers white awhile back and all it did is make them look even smaller.

    clear coat of headlights peeling

If the headlights aren't clear coated, and just dull, take a buffer to it with Meguiers plastic X. That stuff is awesome and smells good too. Takes about 3 min. You can fix scratched cd's with it also.

    Silicone hose kit?

I'm replacing some of the vacuum lines in the bay. I'm not boosting or anything but would like to dress it up with some silicone hoses. I've found 2 kits online, but I don't know what one to get cause one is in inch measurement, and the other is in metric??? Thanks guys, the links-...

    Wire tuck question

I'm shortening some of the wires in the bay. I have this cable from a rock fausgate capacitor. It's 4ga. I know copper is one of the best conductors but I don't know what material this is. Think it would be better than the oem cables? Thanks
