i started wetsanding mine with 1000 and worked up to 2500

i applied the polish anywhere from 10-15 times, it will not get clear after 1 or 2 coats of polish

mine looked like yours did as well i just kept applying polish and buffing it out

how long do you let the polish sit before the buff it out?

When your using a buffer, try not to apply to much pressure. Let the pad and the polish do the work.

Did you spray clear coat on them originally??? I need to know. And if so, how many layers did you spray? If you clear coated them, you need to get the cc off. Clear coating your head light lenses is a waste of time. Buff with meguires plastic X after you get the cc off. If you put clear coat on the lenses, you'd have to polish them anyways to clean them up every now and then. In that case you might as well buff the original plastic with the plastic polish, you gettin my drift?

wrong....clear coat is used to keep the plastic from bleaching in the sun and keeping it protected from UV rays. Once it starts to peal, the plastic underneath with become yellow over time. If you don't reapply the clear coat, it will be more work than if u didnt.

It's a clear coat used for plastics, it's actually called "sealant" They sell it at autozone or napa. Basically anything exposed to the sun needs protection. mequires plastic x is awesome, I have it too, But its used for scratches or foreign materials that are stuck on the lenses or plastic parts. It buffs to a certain extent, but if you want a mirror finish, you need to add a clear coat.

I would have removed the eyelids, and then removed the headlights from the car, but that's just me.

Very nice. I need to polish my headlights too. Gotta buy some masking tape first.
