    Accordman722's G23 Build.

Yes, but he's going to experience lots of part-throttle boost. Poor fuel economy and difficult tuning are just a couple of problems worth looking forward to. It's going to take a competent tuner and lots of time on a loaded dyno and/or street tuning to ease the headache of driving it.

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (updated 5/16/12) Great info in post #315 Devin! Bookmarking those diagrams for later. I'd say that since you've established the threshold for your setup, there's no reason not to run your MSD equipment now. I'd go with option 2 and rewire everything by the book...

    Chrome trim over window removal

^^This. The last time I painted this car I didn't remove any of the trim, just taped everything off, and today I still have overspray everywhere.

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (updated 5/16/12) I figure the amount of recirculated exhaust gas that it could be introducing into a boosted engine could easily be enough to cause detonation, especially when that engine is already pushing the envelope. Scary to think about... I'm actually...

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (updated 5/16/12) I've had mine blocked off for years now with the KMS plate. I'm surprised to hear that it made such a noticeable difference Devin, but that's great to know! Do you think it was just contaminating the intake charge? What effects do you think it had...

    Picking My Color

Yeah, I'm really digging the base color. The passenger mirror is waaay too gold for me. I'm really not that great at it. I had to wipe up several spots where the paint pooled up during the process but after a couple extra coats you couldn't even tell it was there. I've painted this car...

    Picking My Color

Finished both mirrors and cleared them. Apparently the gold pearl that was added was WAAAY too much. I might have them mix another pint with maybe 1/4 of the pearl of this last time. The regular Galaxy Gray looks really good in the day light. It's much brighter than in these photos...

Re: Going for a re-tune.... Daaaang... I wished I had thought of that ahead of time. Can't believe the stock one is even in there bro! Isn't the Bosch plenty enough if you can fabricate a good pickup in the tank??

    Picking My Color

Sprayed my driver's side mirror tonight with the standard Galaxy Gray, and I really like it so far. I had some difficulty getting the propellant to spray evenly at first, but I was able to wipe up the runs with a tack cloth and respray it right away with very little issue. The base went on...

    Power Steering Removal

Driving a 3000lb Accord without PS becomes a pain in the *** real quick, no matter how you slice it, and IMO, it's not worth the effort of removing it. You save less than 5lbs by doing so, and in turn make a huge sacrifice in drivability. The 6GA might not have the best steering assist ratio...

    N/A to FI: AFAccord's 10:1 Comp Turbo F23 Build Thread/Restoration

Went to the paint shop today to pick up some samples for the Accord. Left with one pint of Galaxy Gray Metallic, and one pint of Galaxy Gray with Gold Mica Pearl. If the weather holds up this weekend, I might get around to spraying my door jams with each to test them out! Also called the...

    Picking My Color

Went to the paint shop today and had them mix one pint of Galaxy Gray Metallic, and one pint of Galaxy Gray with a gold mica pearl. Hope to spray a door jam or two this weekend if the weather holds up. Can't wait to see how these turn out!

    Is it true .. ?

From what my tuner has told me, the controllers are matched to the sensor, so no. The AEM gauge isn't the best example, but the nicer widebands that are used for tuning are routinely calibrated between the sensor and the controller. It's not as simple as wiring them up and getting an accurate...

    Is it true .. ?

The wideband O2 needs a matched controller circuit to utilize the signal, it's not just swinging voltage like a narrowband. The controller is built in to the ECU, but I've never seen anyone build an out-board controller for the OE sensor to use with a gauge.

I guess I'm technically 5.2 now that I've installed my surrounds. :D Your room must be HUGE!! Haha those subs alone need a box the size of a man chair. Lol

    AFAccord's First 3.2ch Listening Room/Home Theater

The photos are from before I added the steel bars for reinforcement. So yeah, it had a little bit of a gangster lean. I have not stained the stand yet. I'm not sure I'll ever get around that. Lol

    AFAccord's First 3.2ch Listening Room/Home Theater

Initially I used two U-shaped bars of aluminum stock. It held, but leaned a bit too much for my liking because the aluminum flexed. I later added two bars of L-shaped steel stock, which made it stand perfectly straight. The bass in the room is quite boomy unless you're sitting at the...

    Picking My Color

Yeah man, I have. That first photo of frozen bronze is money, but the color shifts with a different clear coat, and the Sepang bronze is way too brown. Plus most of those BMW colors are multi-stage, and can get expensive. I think I've decided to go with good ole' Honda Galaxy Gray...

    Accordman722's G23 Build.

Re: Accorman722's G23 Build. That manifold and cams will get you no where close to your lofty goal. Let me make a recommendation before I check out of this thread... -H22 Head: You're going to need port work so factor that into your budget -F23 Block: I doubt the cylinders in a block of...
