    AFAccord's First 3.2ch Listening Room/Home Theater

Updated some of the components in the first page, and got DirecTV hooked up this weekend. Installed their HD/DVR with 1Tb HDD and remote streaming capability to my tablet/phone. Unfortunately the HD channels still don't hold a candle to Blu-Ray or even Netflix streaming from the PS3. I still...

    Picking My Color

Here are the two 'most popular' ones from the second set, side-by-side. Which would you guys pick of these two?

    Picking My Color

I'm sticking with the polished wheels you see in the photos. I might look into getting them chromed or maybe powder coated clear, just because it's so difficult to keep hand polished wheels looking good.

Galaxy Gray Metallic + bronze wheels = sex.

    Picking My Color

Sometimes the best thing to do is just ignore people. I do it at work all the time with great success. They eventually give up trying to get my attention and walk away in shame. :inouteek:

    Accordman722's G23 Build.

Re: Accorman722's G23 Build. Ah... OE pistons only come in +0 and +.25mm, so then your only OTS option would be 86.5mm K20 pistons unless you want to pay for Bisi or other custom pistons.

    Picking My Color

Yeah, I am being extremely picky, but I don't want to paint it a half a shade off and end up looking like sparkly doodoo.

    Picking My Color

Yeah, I don't want the 'brown' look, but I do want a little bronze tint, or at least a warm-toned graphite color.

    Picking My Color

If I could go back and spend a little more on my suspension, I'd have GC + Koni Yellows. Unfortunately I have enough issues with the roads around here with my sportlines. I'd like the ability to lower it another .75-1" for road trips and meets, but even on smooth roads I still occasionally...

    Chrome trim over window removal

Thanks. I'll look around some more, but in my 'town' businesses are very limited. If I find someone cheaper in the nearest city, I imagine they'll start charging me more for the drive out here.

    Picking My Color

Here are some more renders of the bronze theme. I think number 6 is very close to what I'm looking for, though I can't help but be fascinated by number 1. These colors are probably all kinds of different on everyone's monitor since they're such slight variants. 1. 2. 3. 4...

    Picking My Color

I've been checking all kinds of car colors lately, looking for the perfect one for the Accord. I don't really want a super dark gun-metal, but I'm not ruling out a darker shade of silver than SSM. What keeps catching my eye is a silver with a very slight shade of bronze, similar to Honda's...

    Chrome trim over window removal

Thanks. Monty was trying to explain to me that the trim and window is one piece too. He said they had to cut the window out to remove it. EDIT: Just found a local business that will come on-site, cut out a quarter-panel window, then come back out and reinstall it for $75/window. So $150...

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... Thanks. I'll have to start researching ignition options. Like others, I have seen some issues with MSD boxes, but there's always options like Mallory and even Summit to consider. I would love to run E85, and if I lived near my parents in Upstate SC I would...

    N/A to FI: AFAccord's 10:1 Comp Turbo F23 Build Thread/Restoration

Took the block back to the shop to have the P2W checked and new rings gapped. The P2W was .0025", which I've found out to be a little tight so I'm having them open it up to .004". In retrospect, I wish I had checked the cylinders before boring them to see if they were straight enough to be...

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... Devin, I'm curious what prevented you from higher numbers the first time around. Was it strictly octane? Was your turbo becoming inefficient? Did you experience any detonation from exhaust gas reversion? I'm assembling everything in preparation for boost, but...

DIY: Disc brake caliper rebuild 56K N/A

Yeah, I bought mine remanufactured, so they're spotless. Hopefully they'll come apart smoothly without any fuss.

DIY: Disc brake caliper rebuild 56K N/A

Alan, do you think I would have any issues disassembling and reassembling my calipers without 'rebuilding' them? I'd like to powder coat them, but I'm not very inclined to take apart some brand new calipers.

    N/A to FI: AFAccord's 10:1 Comp Turbo F23 Build Thread/Restoration

Somehow don't think I've shared these yet. Picked them up months ago. Looking to pair them with some 11.1" Brembo blanks and SS braided hoses. Haven't chosen what pads to run just yet. Would like to paint them also, but not sure what color. It'll likely be either black or matched to...

    N/A to FI: AFAccord's 10:1 Comp Turbo F23 Build Thread/Restoration

I've been checking and double checking my rod journals lately for bearing size. I come up with a consistent 1.888" for the rod BE bore, and exactly 1.768" on each rod journal on the crank. This leaves me with .12" gap for bearings and oil clearance. Strangely enough, two green bearings (2 x...

New goodies! Lightly used Innovative 75A mounts. Hopefully between these and the BS delete, the car won't vibrate my teeth loose. Thanks Stephen!
