    N/A to FI: AFAccord's 10:1 Comp Turbo F23 Build Thread/Restoration

I'll be welding a threaded bung on the charge pipe for the IAT and use teflon tape for sure. Moving the IAT sensor has its benefits, it just requires the tuner to be more diligent tuning the IAT tables. The stock location doesn't change temps as fast or much at all because the manifold gets...

    Chrome trim over window removal

Well if no one here can tell me how to properly remove it, then I'm no worse off huh? :) I still haven't looked in my service manual. If it's in there, I'll be sure to share. No problems boss. You're certainly not the first.

    Chrome trim over window removal

I want to respray my car without over spray on the trim (which is nearly impossible to cleanly tape off by its design), so I want to remove it completely. I'm not trying to black out the trim itself.

    N/A to FI: AFAccord's 10:1 Comp Turbo F23 Build Thread/Restoration

Nope. I looked that thing over many times trying to visualize a way to fit the stock dual-rotor onto it, but i've concluded that S2 just designed it intentionally to make that impossible. It may be possible to swap my rotors onto another stock Honda TB, but I'd rather just have mine bored out...

    Chrome trim over window removal

I don't think the trim is intended to be reused after removal. I'm going to buy new trim to replace it, but I want to be able to remove the old stuff without breaking any other pieces in the process.

Thanks. I want to say that is the purge valve that vents the gas tank fumes into the IM, but I'd have to take a look at a stock setup or parts diagrams to say for sure. The plugs came from a local Ace Hardware (super store). Their hardware isle is like 200ft long! Thanks! Upon final...

    Chrome trim over window removal

This has been touched on before in reference to blacking out the chrome trim, but I really need to know how to completely remove the chrome trim surrounding the windows on a coupe. The front pieces seem simple enough, but how do you remove the trim along the bottom and around the quarter window?

    N/A to FI: AFAccord's 10:1 Comp Turbo F23 Build Thread/Restoration

I want to remove most of the vacuum nipples from my F23 IM, just to clean up things since I will be using a vacuum manifold. So I picked up a few 5/16" stainless plugs, a 5/16" tap and a titanium 17/64" drill bit over my lunch break. Hopefully tonight I'll have an opportunity to cut off one of...

    Help: Swap/ECM probs!

Grab a standard O2 sensor from a non-ULEV Honda to match the non-ULEV ECU you're using. The primary ULEV O2 in your manifold is a wideband. The pin-out is different between ULEV and LEV engine harnesses as well. I have a stock 2000 EX 5-speed ULEV ECU you could buy, but it sounds like you're...

    N/A to FI: AFAccord's 10:1 Comp Turbo F23 Build Thread/Restoration

Today while perusing the forums, I came across an interesting theorem from a respected SOHC mind regarding the effects of static compression in a forced induction build. Have a look if you don't mind the read. There's always the possibility that I have interpreted this completely wrong...

FX35 Retrofit slowly in progress, LOTS of pics

And on I4 models on the drivers side, there is the washer fluid reservoir and the ABS module. I'm curious whether there will be room for a bulb and igniter once this is installed.

    JDMCG3's N/A H22 Build (Last Update: 03/12/2012)

Re: JDMCG3's N/A H22 Build (Last Update: 12/11/2011) The link was for Bagoon ^^ The deck height is the same, yes. But the H22 has longer rods and a taller piston (compression height) to make up for its shorter stroke. In fact, those still don't compensate 100%, because the H22 pistons still...

    JDMCG3's N/A H22 Build (Last Update: 03/12/2012)

Re: JDMCG3's N/A H22 Build (Last Update: 12/11/2011) Theoretically, a K20 rod would be short enough to put the pistons well below the deck, and milling the head up to .035" could bring you up to ~11.5cr. Using a stroked (bigger) crank, is going to lower your redline because the piston has to...

    N/A to FI: AFAccord's 10:1 Comp Turbo F23 Build Thread/Restoration

Yeah, it all depends on the turbo size I go with, but with a higher static compression, I shouldn't have to throw too much boost at it to get the results I want. Many people don't realize that it's Honda's well designed combustion chambers and quench areas that let us run higher static...

    JDMCG3's N/A H22 Build (Last Update: 03/12/2012)

Re: JDMCG3's N/A H22 Build (Last Update: 12/11/2011) Using F23 Rods and crank in the H22 block will put the Type-s piston .040" out of the hole, and yield 13:1cr if it even fits. With H22A pistons, you're still out of the hole, but compression is down to 12.5. If you reuse your H22A4 pistons...

Re: JDMCG3's N/A H22 Build (Last Update: 12/11/2011) Why? You are aware that Mahle Gold pistons work with the H22's FRM sleeves correct? Is there a reason you can not use them? Might I suggest that you could be over-thinking this build a bit. I know I do the same thing with my build from...

    Diy: Bi-Xenon: Morimoto Mini D2S v2.0

That's disheartening to hear, and I'm sorry you feel that way base upon what someone said on a forum, but I can't say I've had any negative experiences in my own use. Perhaps they have some quality control issues? I've spent a fair of time on the HID Planet forums, but never read anything bad...
