    AFAccord's Body Restoration Thread

I can't take credit for the body work. The car is 8,000 miles away, so I'm relying on my father and paying a friend to help out.

Re: ESP.net 98-02 Accord Traction Bar System with Front Torque Mount Kit F/H 4 cyl Mo Not sure I follow... Are you speaking of the K-frame? I can't imagine that being called flimsy, at least by my recollection.

Re: ESP.net 98-02 Accord Traction Bar System with Front Torque Mount Kit F/H 4 cyl Mo I'll be happy if these things ship by Nov/Dec, but I'll make my own before I pay for shipping to Europe. Reallllly need this to help control the front end.

    AFAccord's Body Restoration Thread

I never really thought it was either, it's just mounted kind of low. I'm going to trim the bumper support a few inches when I get home and move it up so it's not hanging below the lip like it is now. Going for Galaxy Grey Metallic

    AFAccord's Body Restoration Thread

As most of you know, I completed my boost build back and December, just days before I left the country. The body and paint on the car was in pretty bad shape, but I only had time to focus on one thing before I left. My dad has been helping me out by hiring a friend to restore the body to new...

    spark plugs

Just use the appropriate NGK Copper (V-power) plugs. There's no benefit to any of the other plugs.

    f23a4/h23 non vtec head

Considering your budget and experience, you won't get 200+ hp out of an N/A setup that's also suitable for boost down the road. The non-VTEC H23 head isn't going to be of any real benefit over the F23 head unless you fit some high compression pistons in there. You're better off just saving...

    AFAccord's *Boosted* 400+hp F23 Accord Coupe EX-L

Haha yeah, not bad for a 71 year old man with cancer, huh? He's pretty slow these days but he's got connections and said he'd have the bodywork and paint taken care of while I'm gone. I should have a brand new Accord when I come home! I'm tryin! I haven't received a single pic since I left...

Turbo Build 10.8:1 compression! undergo. Updated 7/11/13 Pics

Re: Turbo Build 10.8:1 compression! undergo. Updated 6/7/13 I put this on the underside of my hood above my (unwrapped) manifold. Hood stays cool to the touch on the topside even after sitting in traffic. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000E243AW/ref=oh_details_o08_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1...

    AFAccord's *Boosted* 400+hp F23 Accord Coupe EX-L

My father had a couple guys from the body shop come out today and work on the Accord for a few hours. (word from my mom is that Dad took the Accord out for a joy ride with a buddy back in January and ended up scaring himself so badly that he won't drive it anymore :hihi: ) I'm told they got a...

HollywoodHam's Boosted 98 Accord Sedan EX ***update***

Re: Hollywood's pic update Looks pretty good so far. What block is that and what is your compression going to be with those pistons? Your intercooler is sitting super low like mine. (I need to move it ASAP or else I'm guaranteed to break it pulling in somewhere) What are your power goals and...

Changing trunk from manual pull to electronic

I'm pretty sure the gas shock opener won't work simply because of the design of the hinge mechanism that's used (it's different than say, the hood shocks on V6 Accords). Actually, it might work if you could attach it to the actual arm inside the trunk rather than the lid, but it will likely...

    AFAccord's *Boosted* 400+hp F23 Accord Coupe EX-L

I finished the build in December then headed overseas for a year, so there's not much progress in the mean time. Check out my build thread (in signature) for all the details.

    My turbo f23a1

For less than 350hp, an simple Garrett T3/T4 50 trim with a .63a/r turbine would be awesome. I've plotted out its compressor map for the F23, and it's near peak efficiency almost the whole time. It will spool quick and be super cool and efficient. It just a tad smaller than the typical 57...

I would LOVE to drive a light hatch with an F23 for a day, just to feel the torque in a lighter car. Nice job!

Re: Turbo Build 10.8:1 compression! undergo. Updated 6/7/13 Just a possibility, but make sure your TPS and MAP plugs aren't switched around. I've done that more than once. Do you have access to datalogging yet?

Re: Turbo Build 10.8:1 compression! undergo. Updated 6/4/13 +1 here. When I ran wires for my ECT sensor, boost controller, and a couple other things to the radiator area, I tucked them up underneath the radiator support and down behind the fender, but I'm not at all interested in cutting...

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 5/20/13  Electric oil pressure gauge is the way to go. What part of the exhaust is this? Why are you just running 2.5"? What gauge is the wire coming out of the MSD box? Have you considered just keeping the existing power source...
