    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 5/20/13 I have Eibach front and rear sways, and agree it was one of the best investments (handling wise).

    f20b teardown question (pics!)

^^ What he said. It looks like there was a moment of oil starvation and maybe some kind of foreign debris in the oil, but the wear isn't that bad. You might as well just replace all the bearings with new ones while its apart. I'd go with OEM bearings of the same color as the ones you pulled...

    N/A to FI: AFAccord's 10:1 Comp Turbo F23 Build Thread/Restoration

I actually did consider it. If I had more time, I probably would have installed one. It's one of those things that requires some trial and error and some fab work to get right. The best method is to use a name brand sandwich plate that as a built-in thermostat to bypass the cooler before the...

    Pretty cool find

I'd be interested in having one of these. Got the contact info?

questions for before i go to shop

Any 90+ F/H series other than the S2000 will fit. Which one you want depends on what gearing you want. There are guides out there with the different model codes you'll find on the actual trans. I'd print it out or bookmark it on your phone so you know what you're looking at. You can plug the...

FS: Rare OEM bumper with lip **NEW PRICE**

I'm not quite ready to address bumpers on my Accord, but I might be interested in picking this up in the next couple weeks if you don't sell it before then. GLWS

Cam is set to 0. Adjusted it during tuning but it didn't improve things so we went back to 0. I already got rid of my stock diff. It went with about 80lbs of other parts to the scrap metal yard.

Turbo Build 10.8:1 compression! undergo. Updated 7/11/13 Pics

Re: Turbo Build 10.8:1 compression! undergo. Updated Pics If you haven't already opened them, see if you can trade the ACL rod bearings for some HX ones. Your rods should have a little more clearance than the mains. The standard ACL's are roughly equal to OEM greens. My ACL HX's gave me...

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 3/25/13 I HATE that! I think I have a small draw as well I need to address eventually.

Turbo Build 10.8:1 compression! undergo. Updated 7/11/13 Pics

Re: Turbo Build 10.8:1 compression! undergo. Updated Pics The 9.8 K20 pistons have about a 2.5cc dish to them, which in the F23 puts you at 11:1. Factor in a tiny bit larger bore for your P2W, and you're around 11.1 compression. It's not a huge increase from 10.8, but good to be aware of...

Thanks man! I'd like to install an EGT gauge and have my tuner log some 4th and 5th gear pulls to make sure everything's safe for some top-speed runs. :driving:

List one mod, that you feel not many people did, that fits your lifestyle

Hmm... just one? I'd have to say my high(er) compression ceramic coated pistons. Don't know of any other Accord guys that have taken this route, but I am convinced that these gems are the MVP's (most valuable parts, see what I did there?) contributing to the success of my build.

That's considerably high for VTEC on an F23. Stock engagement is ~2,300rpm. It's designed for a cleaner and more efficient idle and low rpm cruising. We moved it around between 2k and 3k to see where the smoothest engagement was, and the best results were around 2,800 or so on my setup...

    N/A to FI: AFAccord's 10:1 Comp Turbo F23 Build Thread/Restoration

VTEC is somewhere around 2,900-3,000. We used a soft-cut ignition/fuel cut around 7,000-7,100.

SykVSyx - and so it begins....

The main benefit I can see from larger piping is resonance tuning of the intake. With the right size/length of intake, the pulses of low pressure created when the valves open and draw air into the cylinder can be compounded at certain RPM to effectively create a positive pressure wave entering...

    Compression

Go 11:1 and boost it. I see no reason for lowering compression with today's fuels and tuning devices.

6th Gen Forced Induction members and their numbers

I put over 1100 miles on mine in one week, including 4 hours sitting in traffic on the freeway. If I were home now, it would most likely be my daily driver as well. That's why I still have cruise, A/C, and PS.

    V6 Boltons + AEM F/IC Tune Dyno

Thanks for posting before/after numbers. Had I not seen the gains, I'd be pretty upset with the numbers; alas, the dyno is a tool not a measuring stick and this is a good example of its correct use.
