    THE Suspension Review Thread

Brand/Model: TEIN S. Tech springs Price paid and from where: 100 from Lry's_CG Pros: nice drop, not bouncy, gives the car a nice stance Cons: none yet Final Verdict: love the springs, haven't had an easier time installing lowering springs. Seems like the accord was made with...

Ok ive got a firm plan for my 6gen want o make sure it all sounds good

Perhaps your not properly informed. In southern california, mainly los angeles county, they actually have check points where they inspect your car (they being any law enforcement agency, but mostly lapd) they first check for a catalytic converter, if that's not there they automatically impound...

Ok ive got a firm plan for my 6gen want o make sure it all sounds good

I think you need to do a little more research before you decide to jump into forced induction. Are you absolutely sure that your engine is in good condition before you decide to artificially increase compression? Also having higher lift in your cam isn't a bad thing with forced induction...

Whats the best manual trans fluid?

Mine are notchy as well, at a stop I sometimes have a hard time getting in first, and 3rd tends to not engage all the way. I end up double clutching often. Let us know how the syncromesh works since we seem to be having the same issue.

Whats the best manual trans fluid?

I used honda mtf in my 6 speed on my tl, and never had an issue, well not a shifting issue at least. I plan on using honda mtf in this trans as well. However, I have heard a lot of good things about gm syncromesh. I like to stick with what works for my application and that's honda mtf.

F23A5 feels like vtec, non linear powerband

Really TFATF? When they're using an eclipse with a chysler motor (420a) instead of using the ever so powerful and almost endless potential 4G63T? Quoting anything from that movie is blasphemous lol.

F23A5 feels like vtec, non linear powerband

I've been around forums enough to know that. I guess my introduction thread isn't enough. No matter what your job is or how many years of experience you have doesn't make you all knowing. There are so many airframe and powerplant mechanics that I work with who have been working on aircraft for...

F23A5 feels like vtec, non linear powerband

Fortunately for me I'm not down with that. Unlike some, I don't feel the need to prove how smart I am or impress people with my capabilities. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak. However, sharing knowledge is golden and I'm a lot about learning.

Good point, we should just remove tbe forum too. Or maybe we can share information that we know and have discussions about products without trying to pass off googled or wiki information as our own. I know some people have to establish themselves as the smarter of the bunch, but sometimes its...

Ryans, I never said hyundai stole mitsu engines, I was making a point that some manufacturers have to start somewhere such as hyundai using mitsu motors. Once they established themselves as a reliable company they started producing their own engines. I'm sure many of us can google the same...

Theoretically its true, extreme lean conditions are good for gas mileage at part throttle, however at wot will make a mess, but that's a discussion for another day. Ill reset the ecu and see what happens, thanks.

Fattening up the fuel trims would cause it to be slower wouldn't it? Unless the fuel trims are somthing like 16:1 then fatten up stoich (14.7:1) ill try the ecu reset (haven't done it on this car, but I'm assuming its pulling the clock fuse, or disconnecting the battery?)

F23A5 feels like vtec, non linear powerband

Weight was taken into consideration, mine weighs 2800 his weighs 3100, he's not fat but maybe weighs 20 pounds more then me. And I don't think its max torque, yes max torque is at 4500 but then it falls of and horsepower takes over, but considering max hp is 135 at above 6k I don't see how it...

F23A5 feels like vtec, non linear powerband

I know this engine doesn't have vtec, but around 4500 rpm the engine picks up more then it does below 4500 rpm. I have had cars with vtec such as my acura tl, the tlp engine vtec was around 4k rpm and the tls engine was around 5800 rpm. I was under the impression that most naturally aspirated...

Speaking of hyundai, they used mitsubishi motors when they first started, 4g63 non turbo to be exact, and they even used the 4g64 in the sonata's in the late 90's. This doesn't make them a rip off does it? Some manufacturers have to start somewhere. Whether it be with ****ty design and quality...
