    I disagree, the gutted cat will not pass the inspection. Sure it will pass visual, sure it will pass CEL check, but it will not pass the sniffer. This is what OP should do.

    Here is my average for the past 3 months: (Mileage/gas [measured during refill]) 348.8/15.214 336.3/13.869 375.9/15.964 288.4/13.397 328.2/15.164 294.1/13.230 353.8/15.713 21-24 mpg I'd say I drive 50/50 (city & freeway) as much conservative as I can.

    Don't forget to add in your first post that it's a v6. Just so we don't have to dig through your old post. I change my mind, considering the tranny problems, I'd say 3k quick sale and 4k with smooth talking. People are too broke these days to pay kbb prices.

    in/sq inch? I've never heard that, I've heard lb-ft and if you meant that, 84 would over torque them. I.e. Valve covers bolts should be finger snug, like spark plugs.

    I'm going to throw in my assumptions and say that the random shut off could be a bad ignition switch and the shaky idle could be a dirty IACV. I only say this because my car had the same symptoms and that's what I fixed to solve the problem.
