Auto-dimm-and-map-lights1200x.jpg

4G member made it work in his car. I dont see why it wouldnt work in ours.

The mirror came from a Cadillac. These mirrors are made by Gentex and they come in all sorts of vehicles. The one in my 97 wagon came from a Ford E350. Some come with temp/compass and even HomeLink... the one in my Sonata has all that stuff. This mirror has 3 leads, power, ground and reverse light sensing. If you wire it to sense the reverse lights, then the auto dim turns off when in reverse. My Audi had that, but the car is not in reverse long enough to need to turn off the auto dim, so I wired the reverse sense to ground and that turns off that feature. The mirror is a windshield mount so you just get the metal button for a GM application and glue it up. The original Honda mirror cover gets double sided tape and gets taped to the headliner. The compass is self contained. You don't have to do anything for that....I wired to an ignition switched source...that way they won't be left accidentally on and kill the battery.

Now, someone get one and do this. Lol.

For the temp reading ones, I'd think all you would need was the sensor and I bet thats cake to install.

Yeah I mean in terms of wiring it’s pretty simple, and I’m no wiring guru. Biggest worry for me would be getting it to stick to the windshield glass.

I want something like temperature gauge which should be able to read inside/outside temp. Would be nice to have one.

Chris, if you get the mounting piece from the vehicle it goes to, it should work.

This exact kind is on Ebay for like $40. The ones with temp displays are like $140. I want said feature but IDK if im ready to spend that much money on it yet, lol.

Highways are the same way; evens runs east and West, odds run north and south.
