Hey i was wondering if anyone on the site has this swap? i wouldn't mind doing it someday. does the F20b bolt right into the f23 engine bay? or do you need custom motor mounts or fabrication? also what american tranny does the JDM F20b bolt up to???? if any, also i apoligize is this was already covered, i couldnt find it in the search.

:)

anything that doesn't come in a car stock will always need fab work done its just a matter of how much fab will be needed. But why go with f20? why not h22? it's a better platform.

to answer your question, yes your mounts will need modification. To be exact your drivers side will need slight modification, but it isn't that bad at all. If you're already manual, then the passenger side mount will be fine if using the h22/f23 transmission. If you are using the f20b tranny it "should" bolt up fine, but since I have never physically seen one, then I cant say.

i thought about doing the h22 but, the f20b is much more rare and would just be fun to have and get the props for having a jdm engine swap :)

I literally facepalmed when I read the title to this thread.

Drunkeness Edit - Yes someone has this swap, S-spec, yes the F20 trans bolts up, any H/F trans/engine bolts up except the f20/22c. Go to innovative mounts.com for the driver's side mount. If none of this answers your questions...you've failed.

you did the f20b auto in a 6th gen and it bolted right in?(false), In my earlier post I was referring to the f20b manual transmission "bracket", not the fact that it bolts up to any H/F motor, because we all know it does lol.
