Looking at the offerings for the 4-Lug model Accord, I noticed these numbers for the wheels listed on Discounttire.com

7X7 4-100/114.3 40SM

Is the 40SM the wheel offset and color?

Here is the url for the particular wheel referenced.

Any assistance would be great because how I understand it from reading the forums, I should be looking for a 42 offset for a 6th gen accord.

Thanks for your time.

40 is the offset. i think thatd be pushing it, i personally would go lower then 42 on the offset. my rims are 42 and they used to rub in the back, and they still do if i hit a good enough bump. my 7.5" wide rims with a 215 wide tire and a 42 offset, sit pretty flush with the fenders. you can see it in these pics:
