So my mechanic messed up my rim - so he sent it out to get refinished. It came back perfect, but the tire seemed brand new! I don't even know how that's possible..but yeah

I bought a set of 4 Kumho ASTs in February, and have rolled on them since. Obviously all the tire markings for balancing are gone, as are the small rubber hair-like things that are there on all new tires...

The wheel that came back looks clean, has all markings and 'hairs', and has a bit more tread...(didn't have a gauge, used penny lol) but nothing too drastic.

Is it ok for me to roll with these? They're on the back right now, but I'll have to rotate them sooner or later...

Anybody?

how many miles have u put on ur tires?

normally, u change a pair at a time so tht both have the same tire wear.. if u were to drive with one new tire, the car will prob sway to one side

I'd roughly estimate the 3 'old' tires have ~8000kms, or ~5000 miles...

I know that's not nearly enough to cause too much concern, but I'd still like to know.

Car doesn't seem to move around more than usual because they are wider tires...but yeah.
