This ad is for my 1998 Honda Accord LX. Tasteful upgrades/improvements have been completed to this car. I wasn’t planning on selling this car, so all the upgrades/improvements were done correctly and no shortcuts were taken. The car itself is a 4 cylinder ULEV VTEC engine with just under 120k miles on it (just broken in for a Honda). The car is super reliable as I work at a repair facility and really purchased this to have a 4 door car for the arrival of my son. I recently had the timing belt & water pump done along with other maintenance items.

As for upgrades, I ended up swapping out the spindles from a 99, and changed the 4 lug (drum) system to a 5 lug 4 wheel disc system. Along with the 5 lug conversion, a set of 16” Acura RSX wheels were installed with lower profile tires. The conversion was done correctly at my work and new brake components and cables were installed at the time of the conversion. The stock struts were switched to Koni coilovers. Also installed were aftermarket camber kits, so the car can be aligned correctly.

The interior was also upgraded. The interior was changed from the stock cloth to full leather. The interior now has leather door panels, seats, center armrest ,and steering wheel. The stock cassette player was removed to make room for a top of the line Kenwood Excelon MP3 player with Ipod controls and a remote control. A Bluetooth phone system was added so you can use your Bluetooth enabled phone and talk hand free in the car. The aftermarket unit has a display mounted in a factory sunglass holder so it is out of the way and can be hidden by just tilting the holder up. The stock shifter assembly was replaced with a PSpec brand shirt shifter assembly. The PSpec system is fully adjustable, so you can adjust the “throws” and also the height of the shifter.

The exterior of the Accord is in decent shape, but not perfect. There are some knicks and dings from the previous owner. Eyelids and HID headlights (6000K) were installed. 35% tint was added, which is not very dark, but gives good shade from the sun. A rear window spoiler was added, but can be easily removed as it’s just held on by double backed tape.

The engine and transmission are completely stock, as I did not purchase this car to race or drive around recklessly. The A/C was just serviced at my workplace and blows a cold 40 degrees. Heat works great and will keep you warm in the winter. A top of the line Viper alarm system with remote start was installed. The system is made to work specifically for manual transmission vehicles. So on hot summer days or cold winter mornings, you can start the car, and be cool or warm when you get in. The alarm system can even tell you the average temp inside the car before you get in.

I am asking $5500 obo for the car with all the upgrades left with the car. I am so confident and certain about this car’s reliability & performance, if I get my asking price, I will have the car inspected for Maryland residents. The only reason I am selling is I’m trying to get a minivan for more room for my son/family. Other Accords in my area are going for about the same price but have a lot more miles. My mileage will change as i will still be driving the car occasionally.
