7th gen Accord 5AT. They added a filter to catch those nasty particles that cause some of the failures. Not sure if the bolt pattern will match a 6th gen engine though.

Hmm...that might just work. The 7thgen 6 speed manual trans will bolt up to the J30, so the bolt pattern on the automatic shouldn't be any different. Though it seems like it would end up being too much of a hassle with the ecu/harness and whatnot to be feasible.

K-motors sping the opposite way, I 99% sure you cannot use the trannies without the motors too.

Dr. Evil FTW, Level 10 also makes a bulletproof auto as well.

(This thread is discussing the V6 transmissions, not the 4cyl K Series) :hide:

All the 6thgen transmissions were built with the same specs. Have the same faults. The reason some last longer than others is driving conditions.

mostly highway driving=less gear changes and easier on the tranny while racking up the miles on your ODO.

City driving means more stop and go driving= a-lot of gear changes and accelerating.

Weather also places a role.

They way you drive, flooring the car from a stop puts a lot of stress on the drive train.

If you want your tranny to last longer. Avoid driving hard, keep the fluid pink and try to drive on the highway as much as possible.

I mean you can't compare to another car unless they were both purchased new and still have the original owner. You don't know a cars complete history. It only takes one time of putting ur car in N and then slamming it into drive for it to become weak. Or any other random fun people have with their automatic 6thgens.

Mine started acting bad when added mods to my car. And that was at around 100,000 miles. After about 12k more, it was pretty much in a dying state. Probably from me flooring it so I can hear the sound of my awesome v-tec crossover. :lawl:
