205/65/15 which is OEM size.

225/45 gives diameter difference of 2%
225/50 is 1.4%
235/45 gives 0.66%

It makes sense that 205/65/15 and 235/45/17 are so similar given that both are OEM sizes two very similar cars, the Accord and the TL. Going down 10mm to 225 without changing the aspect ratio is why the difference is greatest with 225/45.

The gearing would be better with 225/45 though!

It sounds like 235 will rub at the extremes of suspension travel. Is this from personal experience? Has anybody run 235 and can speak from personal experience?

i had f2 type 1s at 1 finger gap all around with 235/45/17 TL rims
and only rubbed on bumps
but f2 type 1s are stiffer than teins

oem size...for some, haha. your car must be a v6 then, since they came with that tire size stock, i4's use a 195/65/15, which a 225/45/17 works out perfectly with, haha. i think you might still lightly rub with a 235 though, but its closer to overall stock size than the 225/50 like you said, so itd definitely be better for your speedo concerns, and look better in terms of sidewall size...nobody wants balloon tires, haha. i also missed your #3 in your earlier post, haha, oops.

Got the TL wheels and 235/45/17 tires put on. Car looks great, there is a bit of rubbing in the back on the bumper but no issues in the front. Overall very happy, I just have to shave the bumper a bit.
