"Haha?" Man, you sure do have a good attitude about it. If I had a rebuilt trans die after 2 years I'd be ready to go back to that shop with a fvckin flamethrower.

if you can get a good shop you could probably get the swap for $1500-2k with tranny.

So I've got a similiar problem. I was in an accident recently. I was rear ended by a high school senior girl who was probably texting cause she didn't see me until a car length and a half back which is when she slammed on brakes and went sideways into my back bumper/ quarter panel/ taillight/ frame. $3,300 later I get my car back from the shop to notice the next morning that the transmission wants to slam from 3RPMs down to one where it is suppose to switch from 1st to 2nd gear. Crown Honda just called. Two broken motor mounts. Accident related, I believe so. Let's see what her insurance says.

This is why I did the swap to begin with, once you are already out on your second transmission. You would have just saved money and did the 5 speed manual.

Ins companies generally total cars if the repair estimate is >50-75% of the car's value. Surprised they didn't total yours. Did they screw up the initial estimate on the low side?

Yeah they did. The total repairs came out to be 2,870 or somewhere around there. The first shop put the repairs at 3,300. My fault on the post but it was $200 away from being totaled. The problem with the tranny is getting fixed today but I have to pay for it. They said that two of my motor mounts are broken and it is not due to the wreck. Weird how it started happening as soon as I got it back from the shop though. Other peoples insurance will screw you everytime.

Dude **** that. You have to be assertive with the insurance companies. Those mounts should have been paid for.
