3.5 Hour detail

3 and a half hour detail is fairly fast, when I used to show my car I'd have to do it the day before and it would be an alllll day job from morning till you can't see at night and you're out there with work lights lol...granted I did the inside and steam cleaned the engine but that combined was maybe an hour, the rest was spent on paint, rims and wheel wells. Looks pretty good though man.

Thanks. I only did the outside, my inside looks really new still. I didn't do my engine either, I'm not sure as to how to detail my engine yet, I don't wanna hose off anything that i spray in there cause I'm a bit iffy about that.

lol, I just noticed, 11:00 to 3:30 is 4.5 hours. That's plenty of time to do all that. Add in any polishing/defect correcting and that time will start to add up.

An exterior wash/dry/wax on my car takes me just a bit over an hour, but that's after having done it many times.

Sinful, maybe it's time to invest in a random orbit machine? I've got the Porter Cable one, and I love it. You'd probably enjoy it too. It'll let you do even more paint prep steps. Might not save you a lot of time, but it'll save your arms from having to work all that polish in.

Yeah, I was going to buy a porter cable orbiter, i found one for about $50 on craiglist, but i was waiting for my paycheck first.

Not all in 1 day lol. The monster can says limit 2 cans per day.

^^You need to work faster haha...when i did full details at lexus it would take 4 hours max to do them..and i don't even want to go into details on what we had to do

dood... 3.5 hrs is way too fast, esp if u washed the car again after the claybar... tht's like my regular wash and wax

i usually take the whole day to do it... 10 am to abt 6 pm ish, with a couple breaks in between... looks good tho
