I'm just testing the water for brake upgrades on my 4-lug. I read the sticky on this, but almost all the options listed in that thread are 5-lug. Does anyone have any good suggestions for a cheap OEM upgrade to a 4-lug setup? I refuse to buy a 5x114.3 adapter or all new wheels, so that's out of the question.

You can drill rotors...

The car is actually 4-lug...

Brake rotors are 5-lug (300zx) drilled to 4, then (in top pic) have 4-5-lug adapters. Important part, use an old rotor to line up holes, just keep one original hole (it's at the right distance) to keep everything lined up.

Also, it looks like one that the list missed is the Acura CL V6. That's a 4-lug and it's compatible with our cars. The only question I have is, whats the difference between a CL V6 rotor and a 4th gen Prelude VTEC rotor? They're the same diameter but have different part numbers.

CL rotor: 45251-S84-G00
Prelude rotor: 45251-S0A-000

I'd investigate:
thickness
width

go to a parts store, they should have both, look, buy...

It's worth the price change to have the parts in your hand.

And slots/holes are worthless on current pads, only for style...

I have Prelude rotors and Integra tr calipers, stock rear disks, and parts store generic ceramic pads. I love it. Cheap upgrade, and stops like a slammed door.

So I have someone offering me a kit that contains Legend GS calipers, and rotors from a 95 Accord V6. He only has parts for the front though. My questions are:
- Are the 95 V6 rotors a significant size difference?
- Will this whole setup be a direct bolt-on, or do I need an adapter?
- Is it worth trying to do the rears also, or is just a front upgrade adequate?
