From what I was told when I did my swap, you'll need a 5-speed ecu and make sure you get the VIN number from the car the ecu came from. It'll make the immobilizer reprogramming much easier.

please tell me there is another way. i dont have the vin # and dont feel like paying alot of money for a new key to get reprogrammed.

it looks like a new manny and obd-i at the same time....... let the problems begin

Some people told me that you can drive your car in limp mode. I sure couldn't! I'd ask other people how they did it. What I do know is that when I brought my car to the Honda dealer to have the immobilizer reprogrammed they told me they couldn't do it unless I gave them the VIN from the car the ecu came from. However, this dealer is FULL of complete dip$hits!

So the trannys in the list on the first page are direct bolt ons to the f23 motors. Just wondering cause i might just keep my car and do a manual swap. Is there any custom work done or is it a straight forward install. I've helped do manual swaps in 240sx's and those were direct bolt on without much of a hassle. Just wondering if i get the parts to do the swap, if it would just bolt up perfectly. Thanks if you answer my question :).
