$34 is way cheap. I paid like $60 for some mexican dudes in a shanti to mount my 18's... you could try searching for a shop with a RoadForce balancing machine, I've heard they are the best.
I've heard that as well... it's a lot easier to regain control if the front tires break loose, rather than the rears. If the fronts break loose, you're looking at possible understeering and sliding into something. If the rears break loose you're likely going to start spinning. The theory has nothing to do with the drive wheels.
We were laughing because Discount Tire told me it'd be better to leave the tires with more tread on the rear wheels, as it'll prevent fish-tailing. Fish-tailing... in a front-wheel drive Accord... The defense was that I have control over the front tires, not the rears. What do you guys think of that?
