sorry to be a pain but I have another question. How did you get the level perfect for the cutoff? Like if the the projector is rotated at all then the cutoff will be on a angle. Just by having the bottom chrome clip of the piece that holds the glass projector in resting against the base of the stock reflector? I know you're going to use the stock adjustment screws for the up and down and the left or right.

Your not being a pain at all with the questions. Its kind of expected ;)

The level for the cutoff is not done yet. The final picture that you see is just what the "finished" headlight will look like. I still need to make the correct adjustments on the car so the cutoff will not be at an angle as so as this is done then I will tighten everything up and seal it. The bottom chrome clip on the base/bottom of the TSX projector is not resting against the base of the stock reflector. Its actually elevated slightly. The reason for this is the A4 shroud will not fit unless you trimmed the bottom which in turn would look like a$$ IMO. You can see in the picture "water spots after cleaning" with the reflector and the A4 Shroud by themselves that the A4 Shroud is trimmed on top to make it fit in the reflector housing. If you notice in the "finished/last pictures" the A4 shroud doesn't seem to be trimmed even if you looked at it up close this is because the chrome bezel that I painted black covers this upper area of the inside reflector housing.
Hope that helps :)

Just be careful cuz your projector will hit your winshield washer fluid and if you have your stock intake still their it will hit that too. I found that out the hard way. I hope everything works out. BTW your retro looks amazing.

Thanks again for the positive comments. I only wished that I had time to finish these. Stay tuned they might be done in a couple weeks (finals/study time these next two weeks :(

Your correct that one of my biggest problems will be trying to adapt the headlight and finding the correct spacing on the left and right side with the stock intake and windshield washer. But then again if it wasn't so difficult then that would take all the uniqueness out of the retro.

Let me guess S2ks with BMW E46 Shrouds? Or are you doing something truely unique? Those guys at customlightz do a great job. There were my first choice however I wanted to tackle this project myself and save the $275 in labor fees, which will add to my koni's or illumina's trust fund ;) .

Its ok just take your time and make sure they are properly aligned. I messed that up on my first retro. Also make sure that whenever you drop your car the lights may not go out as far as they were if your car wasnt lowered. Good thing you put them on your reflectors cuz you can use your stock reflector to aim them. Have fun and keep postin pics.
