I swapped out a motor that blew a head gasket out of a 98 honda accord ex 4cyl with a motor I purchase from a jap engine importer. Before I dropped in the new engine, I replaced the water pump, timing belt, rear main and front seal, new ngk spark plugs, spark plug wires, oil filter, and oil. The new motor didn't have the engine temperature sending unit on so I pulled it off the old motor.

After everything was said and done, the car won't start.

I double check the wires and everything seems to be in there correct location. The green plug on the transmission is still an issue. There is no connector on the wire harness that matches that plug.

The green plug on the wire harness is paired with the sensor on the thermostat house and the distributor plug. Can some confirm what the green plug on the wire harness is for?

The other plug on the wire harness (black/light blue) is paired with the map sensor and TPS. There is nowhere it plugs up to as well. I think its an air temperature sensor plug, but the sensor is not there.

It's getting fuel and the it's sparking, but I can't figure out what the problem is for the life of me.

Running car= spark/compression/fuel if you got spark and fuel how bout you run a compression test on your cylinders to see if you have any leaks at the head(even though you swapped engines)...could be the case anyway..would suck if so but check anyway.hope this helps
