99 Non Vtec swap for Vtec

I have a 99 accord that currently has a non vtec engine. It is hard to find a non vtec engine so I was planning to get the vtec engine but did not know if I would run into any issues during installation as far as mounting brackets or even component issues or ecu issues... any suggestions or should I just stick with finding a Non vtec?

the wiring is gonna be a hassle since you have new plugs for vtec that your wiring wont have. as far as the engine, it will mount up fine.


so a new ecu and wiring wouldbe needed

Swap it! Use the VTEC ECU, wire up just a few wires and you'll be lovin it!

umm if you are gonna go for a motor, why not an h22a then? You get VTEC, and since it is a dohc, you get a kick in teh nutz for FREE!

if u goin from Non VTEC to VTEC.... y not just save 4gs and do it big 6Spd 3.2 CL-S swap and ohhhh boyy sleeper FTW! just my 2 pennies

yea, if youre going to swap the motor out, id say go with the h22. youll be more satisfied.
