Sup 6GA,

It seems like the summer heat is taking its toll on my car.

1) It appears as though the a/c compressor clutch isn't kicking in and the a/c is blowing hot air.

2) Neither radiator fan is turning on at all.

For both issues, I've checked fuses (all good) and ran jumper wires to no avail.

Any suggestions on what should be my next step?

:banghead:

update:

Read on 6GA to check the ECT sensor.
I found this when I pulled the plug out:

Additionally, i got the passenger side fan to turn over. I jumped the sensor on the thermostat housing and it wouldn't start. So i hit the fan motor a few times with a ratchet extension and it turned! So this means im going to need a new fan as this one is on its way out.

Yeah man this Fla. heat is treacherous. Both my fans quit Rad fan first....then the Condsr fan. Went to a local pull a part, found me a condenser fan motor with no blade on the ground in front of a CG accord. Mounts matched perfectly, but what i didnt see was the fan blade shaft mount was a little different, think it may have been from a CD. My blade didnt fit but im good fabricating...got it to work flawlessly. Gonna just save myself the trouble and buy a NEW Rad fan from Auto-Zone w/ warranty. Just buy em new seriously save yourself the time.

A/C only went hot sitting at a light or stopped....once i got moving it got cold again. With only the condenser fan it doesnt really ever get nearly as hot but the gauge will creep up in rush hour traffic and a/c gets a little warm but that i think will be fixed with the new rad fan.

Thanks for the feedback GMAN.

I actually got everything to work just fine. Replaced the fuses for both fans, cleaned up the fans themselves, vacuumed the a/c lines and reapplied the refrigerant. A/C is as cold as ever now :party52:

Thats awesome man. Seriously having A/C in Florida is a necessity not a luxury.

Im actually (just to see if it will make a difference in how cold it is) going to get my a/c system evac'd, pull Vac, add pag oil, and Recharged/Refilled along with installing a new dryer. Got a buddy with a hookup at a local shop says hes got a machine that does all of it at once. How much did you pay or did you do it yourself?

Also installed the New Rad Fan today....man what a difference. For $60 bucks its a steal, whole assembly shroud and all with a lifetime warranty. Runs nice and cold now....truly a blessing. lol
