A couple years ago when I tried to change my suspension on my own, the noob tactics I was using at the time to free the rear passenger strut caused the ABS sensor to get hit or something, because it hasn't worked since.

Last year I fiddled with getting it off, and I did...but only the top part of the assembly came off, and the part of the sensor that protrudes into the wheel hub didn't come with it. The area on the right should look like the below.

It should look like this:

So the area that protrudes from where it screws on is now stuck inside the hole in the hub. I've tried prying it out with a flathead but the plastic/rubber just keeps breaking into small pieces. Is there an attachment for a dremel that would allow me to grind out the rest? I worry about little pieces of the plastic going into the hub with this though. Or would that not matter?

Here's what I'm working with. You can see the hub (toothed cog) inside where the sensor protrudes into and measures the wheel speed. The black stuff is all what's left of the sensor. The hole is maybe 1/2"-3/4" deep before it opens into the hub and then the toothed cog is right there.

grab a hammer to aid the screwdriver and keep breaking that mother apart :lawl:

put some anti-seize on the new one prior to installation...

haha it's an option. Just so tedious because it's so brittle that it only breaks off in little pieces.

Definitely will put anti-seize on the new one.

No way to grind it out, dremel attachment or otherwise?

Not messing with an axle. :lawl:

a dremel would probably cause more damage to the pulse ring than the screwdriver.

wait, this is a rear sensor...either way, just go carefully.

This Reminds me of what happened to me when I did my 5 lug swap... I Never did replace sensor tho as the new knuckle had a decent sensor any how... Keep digging at it man

You could always replace the knuckle :lawl:

Gently whack it with a hammer and screwdriver. I would just take off the rotor and brake to make sure no pieces are left behind.
