So first off I live in Florida and its hot as balls here.
I put this in the urgent because I want/ need this resolved asap.
day before yesterday I noticed my ac not blowing quite so cold, but then yesterday when I got in my car to go to work it was blowing just as hot inside as it was outside. So after I got off of work I decided to get the can of AC refrigerant from good ol wally world. I put the refrigerant in and it was blowing a little colder but after a while was becoming warm again, so I went back and got a can of leak detection and line sealer. Put that in and waited a bit and then did another can of refrigerant since I couldn't see any leaks right off. After that the AC felt right again. I was happy and let my car sit until this morning to go to work, got in, and the dang AC was hotter than hades.
I feel like I might have a leak in the lines somewhere that im just not seeing or it may be the condenser or something, idk. I am just thinking one of those two things because the refrigerant isn't staying in there.
if anyone has experienced this before and knows what it is, suggestions would be great because I want my AC to be ice cold ASAP.

Never had this exact issue but I would lean towards a leak if it's not holding the charge. Compressor is kicking on right? Lol I'm sure that's a yes but just checking. Might have to resort to a pro with the proper equipment.

yeah the compressor is kicking in, and I was assuming a line. I was planning on taking it by someone who knows what theyre doing because if it is a line, I assume it will have to be vacuumed out again so id have to take it to someone regardless. just fml this is the worst time of year for this to happen.

I feel ya, my fan died so currently no ac for me either till I get around to dealing with it but it doesn't stay as brutally hot here, just humid.

use a uv light at night under your hood to check for leaks, but also check your fuses before doing anything, it sounds like a leak to me, condensors and evaporators are known to leak a lot in these cars, if you open up the system at all to replace anything, get it drained and make sure to replace dryer(like $12) as its suggested when opening system.
my ac wasnt working when i first got my car and i just drained the system, repaced dryer, and had it refilled, cars blowing cold as siberia 2 years strong, the dryer will take out more moister if you replace it

Yup...you can diy, I did (handicapped, lol) but understanding the system helps (ase master tech certified, heehee)

If you can find the leak, replace the part. Mine killed compressor (again, ****ty aftermarket)

Suck freon, r&r, vac AIR out, charge--good!

To find leak...
Oil stain -or- 'sniffer' a machine that 'smells' the air & beeps, good for hard-to-see ****, like evaporator.

Oh, my comp had already vented, I took it to a shop to be vac'd & charged for $0, expect 0.5 hr labor for all, like $50

Best bet, small shop.
