Without knowing sales figures in the convertible market I think that, if people were in fact buying convertibles, an Accord convertible looking like that would have been a sellable car.
But I don't think convertible cars are a very big market anymore, except for high end cars (vettes, benz's, etc.), and convertible only sports cars (s2k, Z series). I think most people would go for the coupe version before the drop-top, as in the case of the Sunfire/Cavi/Sunbird convertibles of the past. And the old convertible Dodges as well. Not really big sellers
