i got my 26 buck Short ram intake in the mail today i installed in 5 min :D

really, my gas mileage went up
edit: now i realize you just mean because of getting into high rpms, and yea i still do that (10 months later)

make sure to reset the ECU.... disconnect the battery or something.. looks nice and blingin yo! :D

all you have to do is disconnect the battery and pull the ECU fuse #13 for about 10 mins and then put it back in and your done.

What's the purpose of doing this? I didn't do this when I installed my intake.

The ecu is still running on the performance level of the stock intake. When you reset the ecu it starts learning all of the new performance levels of the aftermarket parts that you put on. In theory it is supposed to let you be able perform better because it learns the parts that you put on. It is just like when you get new software for your computer and you reboot the computer and it updates itself with the new settings.
