I bought an aftermarket catalytic converter and it has the fitting for an O2 sensor, how do I know if it is a off road use only one or a street legal one? I've had this for awhile but don't have the paperwork/box etc. Just looking to pass my car through inspection in the next month.

I had to have a new engine put in... and the car when I got it... had the headers to the exhaust in terrible condition so I had the engine and headers back replaced. So it has aftermarket headers into an aftermarket cat into a Skunk2 Catback exhaust.

I'll probably need to swap out the exhaust as well to pass inspection because this thing is loud even with the silencer. Was trying to get rid/trade it before but have had the car sitting ever since the engine was swapped.

to be honest, i dont think altering cat converter in anyway is legal... but that's just my thought... for headers... as long as there's teh carb... then it's good.. exhaust... i dont think it matters? dono for sure.. correct me if im wrong

2 o2 sensors one in the headers and the other into the cat... i guess my question is how do i know or what do i look for to tell me if that aftermarket cat is a legal cat...

it varies by state, but basically if you're not throwing any o2 codes with an aftermarket cat, you can skate by.

exhaust can only be so loud, i think usually around 95db peak
