Amp and Wire question

will a jl audio 1000.1 amp cut off when you turn the volume up if the power and ground wires are to small...

Yes it will, I think the smallest you can go is 4 gauge on that beast, but I would go 1/0 just in case you ever wanted to add another amp for ur highs and mids.

i borrowed a jl slash 1000.1 from a buddy for a few months and had 4 AWG run to it with a matching ground and it worked pretty well no clipping or shutting off, but i would deff suggest running some 1/0 to it or to a distribution block in case you decide to add an more amps down the line. but don't go anything lower then 4 AWG

4 awg is enough, do not get a cap, they are a waste of money. if anything just get a better battery
