Sweet!!! OH I might be losing the granny gear and getting a compact soon

It's official..I hate Giant bikes...had to build them over the past few weeks for our other location and either I am spoiled with Trek or Giant bikes are just bad. I was so happy when we finished building them and got back to Treks

What was with your Giant bikes? We sell Giant's and I've not had any problems with them at all...

John, the reason they are cheaper is because Giant actually owns their own frame manufacturing facilities. Giant facilities actually build frames for both Trek and Specialized. Because they make their own frames they can undercut the prices of both Trek and Specialized by a fair amount.

All of the parts just seemed to be poor quality. Shifting was never as smooth as the Treks we have. Brakes didn't seem to grab as good. I really got frustrated having to build them. Almost to the point where I told them no more. But they were not higher end Giants either. They were mostly the Sedona and Cypress with a few Boulders here and there. All of those are sub $500 bikes I think, so i guess that is why they were complete crap. I hate the 2 or 3 bikes Trek has under $500 also
