I wish I could bike commute, but its not possible. I loved commuting every day this school year, it was my favorite part of the day.

It is probably my least favorite part haha. The roads are high traffic with not a large shoulder. About 3/4 of it is on a two lane road. I really need to get back on the bike though, maybe it will stay dry over Memorial Day weekend so I can ride mtn and road.

Nice.

I finally got to ride my road bike today and yesterday. Put on some spare red wall tires I had just for fun. But the ride was cut short because the greenway is still dirty and somewhat slippery. OH and we have 7 days of rain in the forecast. I AM SO TIRED OF RAIN

Still trying to decide if I want to keep my triple or go double

Dude, I love a double. Its snappier when you shift throughout the whole range and shaves a bit of weight off. I doubt you use the small ring near as much as the middle one or the big ring. When I rode a triple, nearly all of my time was spent in the center chainring. When I was buying my Cannondale (I regret selling that bad boy:sad:) I specifically went with a double and kept it that way.

Yeah I used to use the granny gear some, but I told myself to not do it anymore. So now I try and keep it in the big ring unless I am climbing then I go to the middle. Trying to get my leg strength up. Some of the hills I always did the granny gear and easy in back, I now am in the middle cog about about midway in the back.

My only flaw with doubles is that it really cuts down on yours gears. I have a 9 speed in the back. So with a double it will almost take out about 11 or so gears since I won't be able to use the two extremes because of cross-chaining

Nah, with a double and a medium cage rear D you shouldn't worry about cross chaining too much. Though, you should step up to a 2 by 10, that would be dopeeeeeeee
