Congrats! Hope it works out for ya. I am guess you mean look pedals? Just gotta get the shoes now. Personally I wouldn't keep the helmet just because he has been sweating it in. I would probably re-grip the handlebars also haha.

Got the bike already. Yeah, I meant Look pedals. hehehe. Is there any specific shoes for these pedals? no wonder it wasn't that comfy when I was biking.

btw ... I've read the reviews on the bike that I got and people are saying that the saddle sucks. It's my 1st road bike, so I really have nothing to compare it to. Do you guys have any recomendation or something that I should be looking at?

Yes those have shoes that you clip into the pedals. If you don't go that route, I would almost go buy some cheap platform pedals because it will be uncomfortable and harder with reg shoes on the Looks.

As for the saddle, people usually complain about those on lots of bikes, but it is different for everybody. Maybe Will has some input on it also. But I would say give it a shot for a month or so. The first few rides are going to be bad no matter what road saddle you have since your butt isn't used to it haha.

I had my bar re-taped yesterday. I hated the zebra look, so I got the black ones.

I've been re-adjusting the saddle, post, and the bars to my liking, and I think i'm getting the feel of it. I guess the saddle aint that bad. it would be a lot better if I ride with padded short or something.

Can you guys recomend a pedals that I can just use any regular shoes?

Any bike shop should have some basic $25 or so platform pedals. But there are tons of options if you are wanting to get some fancy ones.

Hey eric do you know the average rate a bike shop would charge to lace up a 700c rim ?
Hmm I am not sure. The only wheel I have had to lace up was my own wheel. But I am guessing it would cost atleast $75 but that is just a guess and I would not be surprised if it is way more than that. Lacing takes FOREVER

Bump.

It's been quiet here lately.

Been spending money on my bike for accessories. Never thought this hobby could be that costly. Lol. It's worth it though. I've been riding the bike since I bought it and lost some good pounds :)

I still haven't taken a picture of my bike. I didn't even get to get a shot before the changes :(

Roger, congrats on the purchase.

I really need to get some rims for my bike and get it back on the road.

As for pedals, have you considered getting regular pedals and using the toe straps?
