If your doing it yourself you will save money. But if you are sending it to a shop to fix I just do not see it being worth the cost. A cheap wheel is going to be around $35+, Cables and housing you are looking at around $40, and then the cost of labor.

Pulled the Fillmore out for the first time in a week now that most of the snow is gone, yea, it felt amazing.

So the weather has been AMAZING here lately. Low 60's and sunny, which means our store has been crazy busy.

Bike pics.
At work before we decided to close up early before we couldn't get home.

My Mtn bike at home. A great snow commuting bike, minus the rusty chain now.

I went with Shimano Road recently and loved it for riding for a workout. It was definitely a stiffer and better setup for longer rides. HOWEVER, I HATE it for commuting. Going to put my SPD mtn back on for the next few weeks while I still use my bike for commuting.

Big change in my life, 2 weeks from Wednesday is my last day of the bike shop. Moving up to Columbus, OH for an internship. Can't wait, but I have TONS of things to do before the move, which is in less than 3 weeks away haha. Taking my retrofit off and aftermarket intake. Just so I have less things to worry about in a new city.

yeah it is def a big change and happening very quick. And I won't be able to get anything done until my last day of work at the bike shop, Feb 23. I am probably going to take both bikes :D If I have to take just one though it will be the road bike.

I got my mitts on a sketchy two niner that is gonna get a little bit of love from me to turn into a bike for my friends to ride with me on the trails. New wheels/fork/SS drivetrain and some good brakes to boot. I may have to sell some stuff to do it, but should be pretty reasonable.
