Any one ever did this?

So I've just picked my kids up form the club thing they go to and walked round the front of my car to let them in the passenger side and glanced at my hood as I went passed and saw a big scratch. I was a bit peeed off to say the least. We got home and I looked again (nearly cried) took the kids in put them to bed then said to my wife 'Some ones keyed my car' she was all sympathetic and I took her outside to show her the damage. Then a funny thing happened It just rubbed off!! it was a cobweb !! I cant tell you how much this looked like a deep scratch. So I went from feeling gutted to feeling like an idiot in about two seconds.

Any one or is it just me that needs my eyes testing.

No Pix sorry. I was that gutted when I thought it was a scratch then that happy when in wasn't I didn't think.

when i see a new scratch on my car, my reation is "what da fcuk" and then to rub it. I'm surprised you didn't try to rub it.

happened to me before too...i just got real close...then blew it off...i don't like touching my paint....rub=more scratches....

ive got a really nasty scratch in the front of my hood when some1 backed up into it and ran off... >=(

it was deep enough to scratch the metal and now it started to rust...
