okay, you got me there.
i have zero to none show mods.
most of my mods are "performance" based.
ask the 305.6thgen guys. i show up to meets with ****ing exhaust stains, dirt marks, and ****ing leaves.

as a matter of fact, it's become a tradition that we meet up at a gas station cause they want me to at least go through those 6-8 dollar car washes...LOL

Ok...Dynojets do NOT read lower than other dynoes..they read HIGHER! They don't take into account the drag coefficient, and therefore, are not as accurate. The Mustang dyno, from my knowledge, reads the lowest, and then the DynoDynamics, then Dynojet (I'm most likely forgetting some but those are all I know).

So, Dynojet reads the HIGHEST..meaning they are very generous dynos

Oh, and Redline..14whp from just the Megan head and test pipe   Uhh...

I have both dyno charts. Can't say I'm lying, cause half my club and 10 others were there at both dyno days and saw it. Both were done under the same conditions on the same dyno. I've been told by numerous people that the dynojet is slightly low on the numbers. This is coming from the guy who ran the dyno day (who has been working with a few different types of dynos) and hell I even saw in an article for a car in Turbo Magazine that they said the Dynojet dyno "wasn't exactly good for the ego".

I'm not trying to argue dynos with you, I'm just giving you what I was told, and what I saw with my own eyes (and others). I can post the dyno charts if you want. I gotta find the first one but I know for a fact it was 124.x hp.

Okay, when I get back home tomorrow I'll scan the new chart and find the old one. Might have to email crazy horse racing to get the older chart cause its still saved on his computer from the last dyno day. I DO have video from the first dyno day actually haha but i'd have to cut it up and post it on youtube.

I'm not trying to argue..just have some doubt that the Megan header and test pipe gave you 14whp. Maybe it did, and that's great

But also, I never dynoed stock so I can't say how much power I really improved..especially since AFAccord's stock dyno shows about 10whp less than Blacknight's..so who knows.

That's very odd that we saw and heard different things about the Dynojets..I've always been told it reads considerably (10+ percent) higher than others

I dunno... but either way, what would it matter if it dyno'd higher? I got the car dyno'd in the same conditions on the same type of dyno so basically a change in horsepower is a change in horsepower. Its not like I went on a mustang dyno first, got a low number, then jumped to a Dynojet and said I had a +35 hp difference for headers and a test pipe. Hah believe me, I was just as surprised. I expected to be the same or at best gain about 5 horsepower from both especially considering the problems I've had with Megan Racing's $hitty product. I already had a header and the flex pipe as well break on me. They had to send me a new set of headers. Plus the test pipe is designed so poorly. Something is rattling in it and the hole for the O2 sensor is placed facing the ground. So not only is it too far for the O2 sensor to reach it, if I WAS able to attach it it would be sitting extremely close to the ground and the first bump I hit would be a broken O2 sensor.

No no..you said that since it read in the upper 130s that you'd be in the 140s most likely. With my knowledge, I thought it would be lower.

Not a big deal, when I dyno'ed I almost fainted when I saw my numbers..so it's all good.

If you feel the difference, that's all that matters. Dyno numbers are just bragging rights..how it performs is the real test ;)

HAH unfortunately I added a 15" subwoofer months ago for shows and SPL competitions (car audio competitions) cause I was big into that then and fabricating my own boxes and such so I don't feel jack performance-wise. I'm really really tempted to put together a turbo kit for this summer. The S2000 in my club just turbocharged his, and will soon be installing a headgasket and upping boost to around 16-18 PSI (which will net him approx. 500 hp, he was at 360 at 7.5 psi and a light tune at the dyno day). Its just so tempting...
