Are the stock struts sealed?

I haven't looked at them in a bit and am wondering if they're sealed units? Can they be opened for maintenance and upgrades? Yes, I know I can buy new, but this is the Accord we're fielding in the 24 Hours of Lemons. Why buy new when we can figure out "free" after a few beers?

The reason being that I'd like to replace the fluid in the shocks. Based on a recent GRM article, replacing the oil in the shocks with a heavier weight oil will increae ride stiffness. I just need to figure out how to do it...drilling and tapping a valve sounds like the only way.

If they are like the 5 gen they are sealed

It's sounding like the stock 6thGen are as well (according to local Honda parts dept.)

I have a good amount of research to do before I start drilling and/or cutting. Any additional info anyone has would be very helpful. I'll let you know if we decide to jump-in in the meantime.
