Finally got to hear my two kicker 10" comps. Overall I am really satisfied. Definitely need to sound deaden the trunk. At about half volume my Kenwood KDC-MP342U head starts skipping on certain songs. Anyone else had this problem before? Were you forced to buy a better head unit? Could I sound deaden it somehow?

i have never seen this problem before and ive installed 100's of systems

there is no way 2 10" comps have enough power to make anything skip lol

ive seen 4 18's not make a cheap jvc skip

kenwood is a great headunit if its a new one

the only thing i can think of is the head unit tight? or is it loose in the hole?

if its loose it might make the player bounce around more than normal and cause the cd to skip if it is tight in there

needless to say you have tried multiple cd's?
