g35 sedaan (the newer ones not the oldr models) and i do believe that acuras belong on the list, the new RL and TL are sexy as hell and definatley have the power to back up the beef as well....BMW= big money wasters and i hate euro cars in general....so bwm FTL....new IS250/350 great buy as well...but the tuner bug will always hit you no matter what you think even ifs just upgrading your stereo to full blown widebodies...it'll getcha

ok..I can see the RL on their but not the TL especially the TSX
rl is out of the $40k price ceiling, it's more like $50k

if you give cost a realistic weighting (which is a lot), then i'd go with the tsx, i love how it looks! and i don't mind a 4cyl.

either that or a 7th gen, v6, mt, which costs even less (but i like the tsx look a lot more).

in the under 40k lineup i lke the a4

but, as you can see, some of the higher performing cars are pushed into higher categories.

the tsx was on the list 04-06, but is gone for 07 :( looks like the g35 bumped it (but they no longer have the categories).

other cool/interesting facts about their list:

accord has been on it 21/25 times! including all 6th gens :)
honda/acura has been on the list 72 times, the next closest is ford with 58

I don't know, i don't concider a tsx to be a luxery car at all. It's a nice car but it's like an accord type s really.

I'd have to go with a 3 series but i really don't like the current model much. e46's and below are cool with me.

yeah, i'm trying to think about what i might be getting down the road.

about a month ago my girlfriend nearly pulled the trigger on a brand new 7th gen (i would have been so jealous)

now that i got my engine swapped i'll probably hang on to my car a few years even if i do get another.

i should be done with school and hopefully have a job in just over a year, then i can seriously think of something to get.

the true "luxury" sport sedans are really not reasonable (for what i'd like to pay). the 7th gen accord is probably the no. 1 option, but i'd really like a tsx.

of course i'd also like a house, so maybe i'll hang on to the 6th gen a bit longer :)

EDIT: btw, what is the rule of thumb on how much to spend on a car vs. total income?

well i paid 22k on my 7thgen and the tsx isnt that much more....i think the car payment is supposed to be like 15% of your total income, i pay 400 a month for my 7thgen (which is alot but i only put 1k down) and my net anual income for my house is 4k a month

yeah, the ex v6 7th gen is basically as much as a tsx (but has more power), but i just love how the tsx looks and i don't mind a 4cyl :)

but the ex 4cyl is around $22k, which would be nicer on the wallet.

i'll have to see if i can find a job right away and how much i end up making. also, weather or not i buy a house right away could affect my income/bills ratio a lot.
