Black housing w/ LED strips?

alright guys im doing a diy black housing headlights... my question is has anyone ever used the the LED strips in front of the parking light? i painted my amber lens black and was thinking about using a LED strip in front of it and plugging it into the parking light plug...ill have some pics when im done to see what you all think. im trying to go for the audi look

i highly doubt an led strip will fit between the front of the orange strips, which youve painted black, and between the headlight lens. the orange strip is right up against the outer lens...not literally, but you wont be fitting anything between the two.​

You might could use a dremel and cut out a groove in the strips. You'd have to repaint them though. I'd recommend just leaving out the middle strip though if you really want leds. it would be easier. If you want that black look behind the leds, just paint the reflector bucket for the bottom parking light black. I have extra's in my FS thread if you mess up.

Just taking a break and then going back out to put it all back together. I was able to get the led strip in between the now black strip and lens. It's tight but it fits. I'll take some pics tonight and try to post them up... We will see how the look. If horrible then ill buy new lights. I figured it worth a try to do it myself lol
