Ok i have been looking at lots of things to boost my accord, been looking at studying all the time, i think i have it figured out, but i want to know what is the hardest part about running a turbo, like from someone i was talking to, its fairly easy to install a turbo. From what i have seen, with the right parts, obviously, its nearly bolt-on. Everything but tuning it is near bolt on right.

the turbo i have is relatively small but will give me a hp increase, Basically i just want to know what is the hardest part about putting a turbo on

thanks

thats what i figured, which the tuning should be about the hardest for me, since i have no dyno, how would you go about tuning it by "eye" or just by feel i guess, and as far as the manifold, where does your 02 sensor go to

Ugh...dont even attempt to tune it yourself, and before this goes any further...

Probably where you need to start is telling us what you're going to be tuning with. But, a general guideline would be to shell out the extra bucks to have a professional speed shop do the tuning for you on a dyno and on the street. Expensive, but worth it. Basically, you wouldn't be tuning by feel, it's off of the readings you get in the guages you have installed. A/F is the most important, but others include EGT, oil pressure and temp, a boost guage, etc. I won't pretend to know how to tune a car, because I dont. But it takes a lot of practice and if your uncle isn't a pro I would suggest a reputable shop. Others on the board have a lot more experience on here though...Give us some more details about the project man :)

without a tune you might end up blowing everything up! save up and get it tuned by someone who knows what to do. Also, read, search, and research!

well, dont know what i would be tuning with, i was gonna try and leave the stock ecu, because the boost is gonna be pretty low till i can build up my motor, which i will probably do first, a good solid NA car would make a better FI later i think.

The turbo is off a mitsubishi its a te04 turbo, not sure what trim, but its not very big, but a decent start for me i think. Right now turboing my car is not a option its my dd, and i dont want to tear anything up without proper tuning, i was just wondering if there is anyway to get as close as you can without a dyno, but ill probably wait till i can find a tuner to do it before i do anything.

but thanks alot guys yall are helping me figure more stuff out, which is really all i am wanting to do right now, figure it ALL out before i even start to put the turbo on
