I don't drive aggressively often but I do enjoy my hawk hps pads.
It's true, if you tend to cruise more then drive aggressively, these pads could be overkill. However, these pads shine during highway braking or if your car is loaded with people. The first time I had four people in my car and pressed on my new hps brakes, I can immediately tell there is a night and day difference in terms of brake fade compared to OEM pads. The hps pads bite harder when warmed up. (a fully loaded car can warm up brakes very quickly).
If you do a lot of highway driving or you carry passengers often, even at least one passenger, I would recommend upgrading your front brakes. HPS, Nissan, Wagner or any pads recommended in the the "Brake Component Review" thread are all good, the choice is yours.
